Bible Study

Long Term Bible Study

“All Scripture is God breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man/woman of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.”  2 Timothy 3:16-17

We’re already planning for fall education.  I read in a Christian magazine a while back that the fastest growing and strongest churches are the ones that stress biblical teaching and instruction.  We all need to strengthen our relationship with our God and maker.  In order to achieve that, we will be offering Disciple I class.  This will require a time commitment but it offers an eternal reward surpassing that commitment.  I pray you will take advantage of this class. Disciple I “Becoming Disciples through Bible Study”  Led by Dan Callison, 34 weeks starts Tuesday Sept. 14, 7:00 – 9:00 pm. Call the office or contact Dan if interested in taking this class.

Are You Still Reading?

Many of you started the year of 2010 with the goal of reading the entire Bible through in a year. The end of June marks the half way point towards your goal. You’re half way there! Congratulations! Keep at it. You will make it.

I have heard some wonderful comments from those who have accepted the challenge. They are pleasantly surprised how much they had forgotten and how much they have learned. Rather than it being a tedious chore it has been a spiritual blessing.

If you have not been a part of the challenge it is never to late to begin. I would encourage you to log onto www.oneyearaudiobible.org to hear Tom Davis read the daily scriptures.

Once again it only takes 15/20 minutes a day.
